• Your entry point as a Groove Facilitator is with one of our principal courses to provide Groove with Adults.
• Courses are 16 hours, typically over a weekend (Friday evening through Sunday) hosted in various locations around the world, packed with delicious feel-good movement, inspiring conversation around authentic expression, community and self-care.
• Online Courses are 16 hours over 4 weeks (typically on a Saturday or Sunday) and are hosted via Zoom. You’ll access to the Online Workshop with lots of videos about the theory of Groove, as well as practice tutorials to get your groove on. In between the meetings, there’s homework assignments to deepen your understanding.
• You will learn how to integrate our powerful principles of permission that make this dance experience uniquely magical and help others free their minds and dance their dance.
• The weekend training is just the beginning of your Groove facilitator journey. Once you complete the course, you will go out and practice, practice, practice! The real learning happens through doing. Typically it takes trainees 3 months to complete the follow-up work, which includes 6 practice classes. 1 of your practice classes will be sent to us and one or our amazing Master Trainer is going to evaluate it and provide you with constructive feedback.
• Included in your course fees are 3 months access to our online resources packed with video tutorials, coaching guides, sample playlists, marketing material and a supportive international online community where you can ask questions and share experiences.
• You do not need any previous dance experience to teach Groove as we are not dance teachers, but guides and leaders in movement experiences. However, you do need to connect to simple rhythms and feel comfortable demonstrating a variety of styles.
• We call ourselves “Facilitators” as we coach off what we observe at the moment and encourage participants to find their unique expression while being unified as a group. This type of intuitive teaching is a skill that requires lots of practice and you may go through a little bit of a learning curve even if you’ve had previous traditional teaching experience. Trust the process and know that we will help you along the way.
• We proudly offer 3 signature dance experiences catered to adults, children/families and fit.
All three programs are mindful movement experiences that strengthen body awareness and work on skills such as balance, flexibility, agility, strength, and cardio.
• Once you’ve attended the training weekend or online training for Adult classes and you are a certified Groove Facilitator for Adult dancefloors, your continuous kids and/or training will be available online.
• When we Groove, we build rhythm connection to a variety of styles of music, explore creativity, ignite our critical thinking and play with imagination and self-expression. This builds confidence and community through the act of being courageous and vulnerable with others. Our two signature programs nurture physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.
• Although they are fundamentally the same, there are slight differences in the experiences. The adult experience flows from deliciously meditative to dance your heart out, shake your booty kind of vibe. Whereas, the kid’s program is much more upbeat, activity based and focuses on building fundamental movement skills while fostering imagination and play. Both experiences end with stillness and breathing exercises.
• Once you’ve completed the weekend training and certification process to become a licensed Groove Facilitator you can continue your Groove journey with additional courses for areas of specialization.
• The Groove with Kids certification training is offered online for you twice a year.

Jane Ellerington
"I become a facilitator because I wanted to uplift others in dance. What I like about grooving is the collective energy in the room it's one thing to dance alone but to dance with others is bliss. "
Ken Daley
"I became a GROOVE facilitator because the process is very accessible. The 2 day training was affordable, the continuing resources are awesome and also very reasonable rates compared to other venues. What I like about GROOVING is I get to use my imagination and loose myself to find myself through dancing to a variety of "dance my ass off music"! "
Kristof Illovszky
"I’ve been a group fitness trainer since 2010. I was also studying acting for several years, even non-verbal acting. And I just love to dance! All of these made me to be a Groove facilitator. When I first got to know Groove on a fitness event I knew it was totally for me and other people should also experience this, so it was not a question that I took the facilitator training. What I truly love about Groove is that I can be creative and free. In Groove I can express my feelings and I can be myself."
Sibeal Hill
"I am a dancer and a psychologist, and found that GROOVE was a perfect tool to combine my two passions and help people heal and develop in body and mind. What struck me most about GROOVE was the possibility to create a sense of community, where people of all ages, races, sex, and skill can come together in a joyful celebration of life."
Jax Page
"I became a Groove facilitator because I love to move in a meaningful way, and I want to inspire others to do the same! I love Groove because I get the opportunity to move in a way that is authentically me, and I get to feel connected to the whole group by being united and unique. You can't get this wrong!"
Liv Kaldau
"I attended a community Groove class with Misty in Copenhagen, After that I just knew I had to be part of the family and facilitate the room for other people too. I love to dance. When I dance I forget about everything else and I just am. I am enough when I dance and I love the feeling Groove gives me. It gives me the opportunity to let go, be and love. Dancing is moving my body, mind and soul in unity. The Groove truths make sense on the dance floor and off it too and integrating Groove in my everyday life has given me so much."
Martine Thompson
"I became a facilitator because I want to bring the feeling of freedom and fun, that dancing brings me, into people’s lives. The thing I like about Grooving is that it’s accessible to all abilities and all ages and we get to act, sing, dance to all styles of music and use props."
Reba Campbell
"GROOVE allows me to connect with the wild, free and courageous pieces of myself and to express that with nourishing, intuitive movement. I facilitate Groove to help inspire people to start inspiring themselves to feel good through intuitive, nourishing stupid simple movement and self expression!"
Gitte Saldern Juhl
"I became a facilitator in 2013, I wanted to give more people the chance to experience this amazing concept, as one of my participants say: It is like a party on an everyday evening. And she is completely right, in Groove we can have a party together, while we still are unique in our own ways, we can get lost in the music together and we can be in stillness together."
